We used our math’s skills to research the best value for in school and out of school treats for after SATs. We discussed the price of a coach, taking public transport or the possibility of being able to walk.
We now understand how expensive it actually is for 30 children to go out for the day.
56Week 1 – Sharing the mercy of God with others

69Today the school council have held a meeting with Mrs J P Conley to discuss their idea of having a ‘No pen’ day. They discussed how they feel we could have a day with no writing and focus on using other skills such as speaking, art and computing to complete the learning across the day.
Mrs J P Conley asked us questions about what learning would be taking place and considered our idea. She agreed there was a way for learning to still take place with lessons having activities that record down in other ways. For example, using our computing skills in English to type out our sentences and paragraphs.
On 23rd April, we will be having a ‘No pen’ day with no writing!
65Today, we got to care for our school chicks. We all had a turn of holding the chicks.
56Year 2 had a great day with our fluffy week old chicks, we fed them, cleaned them and stroked them.

19Daffodil class have enjoy completing lots of practical activities today. We started our day with an active P.E.lesson and then completed some fantastic measuring activities including mass and capacity. In history, we ordered a time line and completed a past and present sorting activity.
21This week we had a ‘no pen’ day, we still completed all our lessons and had some fun along the way! We learned about telling the time, about the Stone Age and we planted some pea seeds.
13Year 6 loved their No pen day experience, with lots of practical and computer based activities. From creating our plans for English on our chrome books to using multi-link cubes in maths to explore volume. It is to be continued after SATs.
