The Prevent Duty
The Department of Education has asked schools to help them safeguard children from the risks of extremism and radicalisation. These risks have been brought into sharp focus by recent reports of school-aged children travelling to Syria.
Schools must have due regard to the need to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism.
